Every day SAT-7 PARS broadcasts an hour of new programming just for its young viewers.  Each daily segment is hosted by Parastoo, who greets the children and tells them what they will be watching that day.  Recently she started hosting her segment on virtual sets—some are even made from pictures drawn and sent in from her viewers in Iran and other parts of the world.

“It’s a lot of fun,” says Parastoo.  “Sometimes I’m under the sea, or looking at the windows and doors in a house drawn by one of our viewers.”  The segment even includes a “mini-Parastoo” who sometimes is naughty or fearful.  In one segment where the mini-Parstoo was worried about being in the dark, the “big-Parastoo” told her that she didn’t need to be afraid, that God was with her during the daytime and the night time.  The “big-Parastoo” then ended the segment praying that “little-Parastoo” wouldn’t be afraid and that she would always remember that Jesus is with her.

What Some of the Children Are Saying:

  • Hananeh (3 years old) from Tehran:  His mother called and said she always watches SAT-7 PARS children’s programs and when Parastoo prays at the end of  each daily program, she prays with her as well.
  • Pantea (8 years old) from Europe sent in a painting.
  • Samaneh from Tehran likes the Gole Gandom program (“Ears of Wheat” children’s drama)
  • Nima 7 years old: called to ask Parastoo to mention his name during the children’s program
