SAT-7 News and Prayer Letter | April-May 2008

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. James 5:17-18 (NIV).

Greetings from a dry and thirsty land!

Cyprus is in the midst of a severe drought, and though summer is still some time away, we have already begun water rationing. Each home is allowed a maximum of just 36 hours of water per week (12 hours for 3 days). Some homes are having trouble getting any water at all!

We read in James 5:17 that Elijah was a man "just like us" and yet his prayers had huge impact. Our prayers do make a difference. In this region, many Christians are suffering and urgently need prayer and other forms of support. Will you be an Elijah for this ministry and fervently pray that SAT-7's viewers living in North Africa, the Middle East, the Gulf States, Turkey and Iran will receive "living water" that Jesus offers (as described in John 4:10)?

If you would like to take a more active role in praying for this ministry, I encourage you to click here to find out more about SAT-7's Second Annual Day of Prayer which will take place on the first of June. I also urge you to pray for our staff in Lebanon at this time when the country is experiencing a major crisis.  To find out more about the situation and our team in Beirut, click here.

Please tell your friends about SAT-7's needs and the Second Annual Day of Prayer!

Please tell your friends! And let us pray that rivers of living water will flow through SAT-7's broadcasts to all who are thirsty.

And please also remember to pray for rain in Cyprus!

Yours in His service together,

-Terry
