Bedtime Stories with Rita

“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” -Pr 22:6 NKJ

SAT-7 KIDS producers seek to help train children to follow the Lord for their entireBedtime Stories With Rita lives. One way to do this is by teaching them basic stories from the Bible. Three times a week, SAT-7 KIDS broadcasts a different episode of “Bedtime Stories with Rita.” It is a simple program in which Rita, sitting in a comfortable bedroom surrounded by big pillows and stuffed animals, reads a story from the Bible. Children from around the region love this program, which provides basic Bible teaching in a way that is very simple and personal. Rita often ties the stories in with the seasons, telling the Christmas and Easter stories during those times of the year. Children love this program, as one girl in Oman wrote to say, “I like your Bible stories and I would like to receive a copy of them. Thank you for your program.”

KIDS Café

Children love variety in their food, and in their TV shows. This program offers aKids Cafe “buffet” of choices presented by children for children. From their main set the two young hosts of the show take children on many adventures where they learn about nature, jobs they might one day have, arts and crafts, music and also includes small situation comedies in which young viewers can identify with the young actors and the problems they face. Those comedy skits are written in a way that speaks to young people’s hearts and also gives them practical and biblical information they can use so they can grow into spiritually mature Christians. Alo Alo (“Hello, Hello”)

“We’re going to have children from countries like Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and across the region who will be on the phone participating in this show,” says Roy Abikhalil, producer of “Alo, Alo” a new game show for the SAT-7 KIDS channel. The show is the third game show that SAT-7 has produced for children, but the first where children from across the region will be participating via their phones. Each episode will have a theme and help viewers learn about the Bible. Callers will have the chance to win prizes. “I’m very excited about this program and I think kids will love it,” says Roy.

The Naji Show

Kids love to watch things explode, and in the process of conducting experimentsNaji Show they can learn about science and the Lord. “The Naji Show” utilizes scientific experiments to illustrate Biblical principles. The program has expanded from five to fifteen minutes which“gives us time to add greater detail,” says Naji, the show’s host; “I love science and discoveries and this is a wonderful way to bring Bible messages across to children.” The added minutes also allow time for short dramatic skits about famous scientists. For example, one episode focused on Sir Isaac Newton, the great astronomer and mathematician, who was the first to describe gravity. He was also a very active Christian who believed God’s handiwork was visible through nature.

Alwan (Colors)

Teachers of small children know that one of the very best ways for them to learnColors new ideas is through songs. In a new SAT-7 KIDS program entitled “Colors” children will learn basic words, concepts and Bible lessons through songs, but those lessons will be brought to them in a way that they will really like. “Colors” begins with a blank coloring book on screen (made of only black lines). Colors are then added, and soon smiling, dancing happy children appear. The show doesn’t have any physical sets, instead uses TV green screen technology so each new “location” appears as a drawing filled with colorful animated cartoons. Every beautifully produced episode includes three songs and a story. SAT-7 KIDS staff members are extremely excited about this new program which will catch the attention and imagination of many young children.

Let’s Discover Together

Life is a voyage of discovery for children and TV enables them to explore many new ideas and even places. That’s the concept behind “Lets Discover Together.” In this program young children will travel to countries they might never visit. As they discover together interesting facts about these countries, they will also learn bible lessons, especially because many of the episodes will focus on countries and regions in and around the Middle East.
