Program descriptions

SAT-7 PARS broadcasts Farsi Christian programming 20 hours each day.  Below are samples of just some of the programs airing on the channel.

Iranian Children’s Bouquet

What do Iranian children need and want? Who better to answer that question thanIranianChildren's Program producers living in Iran? That’s why SAT-7 is working with on-the-ground producers to create this innovative new set of programs, which, like a bouquet of many flowers, is bringing many different programs to Iranian children. The bouquet includes simple 2-D animation from Iranian artists telling bible lessons in a culturally effective way. The cluster of programs also includes bible stories, Iranian crafts, letters Iranian children write to God and more. SAT-7 is pleased to be able to broadcast these programs and needs financial support to make it possible to broadcast these shows to the Farsi-speaking children of Iran and nearby Afghanistan.

Jadeye Javanan- The Path of Youth

Joseph was just a boy when his father, an Iranian pastor was murdered because hePath of Youth loved Jesus. His family fled to the United States but he retained a passion to bring the Good News of Jesus to his people. Growing up without a father, in the decadent West, is not easy on a teenager and Joseph knows first hand the struggles and temptations young people face and can speak directly to their challenges. Young people under the age of 25 are by far the largest demographic in Iran. Many young people in the country are disillusioned with religion, the lack of jobs and freedoms and are turning to drugs and suicide. Others are searching for truth, and youth programs like “The Path of Youth” on SAT-7 PARS are helping young people find hope in Christ and gain the tools they need to mature in the faith and persevere regardless of the pressures around them.

My Home, My Paradise ("Helping Marriages")

Very few homes can be described as “a paradise,” but in the greater Middle East,Helping Marriage marriage relationships suffer some of the worst rates of abuse. Some of the most popular programs ever to air on the network, based on the sheer number of responses, have to do with relationships and helping viewers heal their rifts. Counseling resources for couples are far and few in the region and people are desperate for tools to help improve their families and their marriages. This program not only give practical relationship tools, but gives Godly perspectives and biblical tools helping viewers salvage or strengthen their relationships. Practical Christian Living (“The Challenge”)

According to the writer of this original series, “The Challenge was madThe Challengee to improve and develop the faith of believers and young people who have recently come to have faith in Christ. Because new Christians will face many unique challenges and difficulties as they begin their spiritual journeys.” The series revolves around an ensemble cast of young people facing various struggles. The show is written specifically for Iranian young people, and the topics are specifically targeted to their needs. Some of the first episodes cover such issues horoscopes and fortune tellers, blaming others and being humble, being an undisciplined Christian, and “God Told Me” which is designed to help young believers understand how to seek and understand God’s will for their lives.

History of Christianity in Iran

The great Babylonian Empire was centered in what we today call Iran. When Cyrus the Great allowed Nehemiah to take his people back to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, they followed a path through what is now Iran. Even the great Old Testament prophet Daniel, who survived the lion’s den, is believed to be buried in modern day Iran. Many Iranians themselves know of Cyrus, but they don’t know the Bible stories about him, and they don’t know other biblical and Christian history that took place within the realm of the Persian Empire. This new documentary being created in Iran is attempting to help Iranians understand the history of the Church in their land, to give them understand that Christianity has ancient roots in the region and that their Christian neighbors have a right to live in the country. It is also giving Iranian Christians tools to show that they too have a great history in the region, one in which God has moved mightly on behalf of His followers.
