Each year on the spring solstice, Persians celebrate the new year according to the Persian calendar.  The time is called “Nowruz” and this year it marks the year 1389 according to their calendar.  SAT-7 PARS marked the 13 day Nowruz event with a 13 day children’s program.

SAT-7 ARABIC will air a number of Easter programs, including apologetic shows, documentaries, and films (such as the JESUS Film) during the upcoming month. Crews in Egypt have also been working on a seven-part original musical about the resurrection. 

Many women in the Middle East struggle to raise families on their own because their husbands have died, deserted them, or have left the country for years on end to seek employment elsewhere, or have effectively abandoned their families through an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Jesus loves these women and SAT-7 also cares about them.  Over the past year, SAT-7 ARABIC has broadcast a series of documentaries that show the severe plight of such women. The objective of these broadcasts is to help transform society's negative view to one of sympathy and support.
