Matching Grant Campaign Closes Only $17,317 Short!
Ministry is thankful for donations given during time of great economic
difficulty. Continued help still needed
With much gratitude, SAT-7 would like
to thank every individual, church and organization that gave during
its special end-of-year matching campaign.
“We are extremely appreciative of
everyone who has given to SAT-7, ever since the launch of this
ministry, but especially over the last two months. We know these are
difficult economic times for many of our supporters, but their
generous support demonstrates how vitally important they believe
SAT-7 is in the lives of millions of viewers who live in an area
stretching from Morocco to Afghanistan,” says Terence Ascott, SAT-7
CEO.
First SAT-7 KIDS Live Broadcast a Success! - January 19, 2009
On December 21, SAT-7 KIDS broadcast its very first live program. It was a Christmas special hosted by several well known SAT-7 KIDS characters. The main plot on the program was that Santa was upset that people had forgotten the true meaning of Christmas— Jesus birth. Naji, one of the hosts of the program was amazed by the response. Children and parents were calling in from across the region, “I wasn’t expecting that we would get so many people calling. The phones were ringing all the time and people were texting to say they couldn’t get through.” Producers of the program were very excited about the level of response and are hoping to have many more live shows on the KIDS channel in 2009.
Scripture Memory Songs - January 19, 2009
Many children living in Iran have little or no access to God’s Word. But most children in Iran watch satellite TV and SAT-7 PARS programs for children are very well received. SAT-7 PARS wants to strengthen its audience of young viewers (who are already watching cartoons, drama, and interactive talk shows on the channel) by helping them to learn scripture.
