The Audience

SAT-7 PARS Audience PhotoIran is a country of more than 70 million people. The Christian population is approximately 200,000 to 500,000 people. This figure many Armenian and Assyrian church members, but it also includes a growing number of members of Protestant denominations such as Presbyterian, Anglican, Assemblies of God and independent house churches.

While Christians have lived in Persian lands for centuries, many Iranians know little about the Christians living in their midst. Many of these Christians have limited access to materials that will encourage them and help them to grow in their faith. SAT-7 PARS seeks to meet the needs of its viewers, whatever their age, economic status, religious background or level of spiritual development.

SAT-7 PARS has a team of Audience Relations officers who work to answer questions from viewers living in Iran and throughout the region. This Audience Relations staff maintains a website on which viewers regularly ask questions, and other viewers help provide Christian responses in the website’s chat rooms. The team also receives phone calls, emails and text messages from viewers living in Iran, Afghanistan, other nearby countries and Europe. The PARS Audience Relations officers regularly pray for SAT-7’s viewers and provide them with vital information, encouragement and counseling.
