“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” John 8:36
I recently had the opportunity to meet with some wonderful believers from North Africa. They shared how Christian media, particularly satellite TV and the Internet, is having a dramatic impact in their home country. “We used to fish for people, but now they are looking for us! Their main need is just for fellowship because they have already had so many of their basic questions answered.” Praise God! We are helping reach and teach people who otherwise might never have been found.
These North Africans, who joined us for a time of worship, also commented on how nice it was to sing out loud, with the windows open, without fear of reprisal.
Those of us who live in open societies often take for granted the freedom to worship, assemble, vote and speak and publish as we wish. But, in both the West and the Middle East, millions of people are also bound by the chains of despair, guilt, bitterness, materialism, addiction, lust or some other consequence of living in a fallen world. Jesus, in his first recorded sermon, quoted Isaiah when he said, "The Spirit of the LORD is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed…” Luke 4:18
Thank you for helping us to broadcast Christ’s good news, to proclaim freedom for prisoners, to release the oppressed. Pray that God will use our broadcasts to forever sever the spiritual chains which have ensnared so many people in destructive bondage.
Yours in His service together,
