New Broadcasts and New Ways to Help SAT-7

SAT-7 began broadcasting SAT-7 ARABIC and SAT-7 KIDS on the Atlantic Bird 4 (AB4) satellite on the first of this month. This is extremely exciting news, and an answer to prayer, because it means that millions more people are now able to watch SAT-7! Why? Because the AB4 satellite is co-located with the popular Egyptian Nilesat satellite. So now anyone who has a satellite dish aimed at Nilesat can also receive SAT-7! Please join us in thanking God for this opportunity that recently became available.

Opportunity Multiplied

I have some very exciting news...If you have never given to SAT-7 before you can now QUADRUPLE the impact of your gift!!  During this time when the global economy is suffering, members of the US Board of SAT-7 feel so passionately about the importance of SAT-7’s goals in 2009 that they will give three US dollars for the equivalent of every one dollar given to SAT-7 by someone who has not supported the ministry before. This offer is valid until January 15, 2010.

Friends Who Prepare the Way

John the Baptist prepared the way for Christ.  Did you have someone in your life who prepared your heart to know the saviour?  Perhaps it was a parent, a teacher, or a close friend who invited you to church or a Christian function?  That’s what happened to me, a friend invited me to a Christian summer camp and it changed my life.

SAT-7 seeks to be a friend to viewers—inviting them to have fun, be entertained, learn about the Bible, and to come close to the “friend who will never leave them or forsake them.”

Blessed are the Peacemakers

In Iran recent presidential elections ended in turmoil and the surprise outpouring of people on the streets demanding a full and open accounting to determine the true winner.  Sadly some protesters have been killed, and no one knows yet what the final outcome of the political struggle will be.

Serving the “Forgotten Faithful”

One of my staff once made a presentation in a church that included information about a SAT-7 program made in Bethlehem.  When the talk concluded, a man came up and said, “There is such a thing as a Palestinian-Christian?  I thought that was an oxymoron (two words that cannot go together).”  Sadly, many people in the world still do not realize that we have brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Palestinian areas and all across the Arab world.

“Better Content Wins”

O death, where is your victory? O death where is your sting? I Cor 15:55

These are challenging and dangerous times. The near bankrupt state of much of the world’s economy has many thinking about the basic essentials of life. It’s somewhat sad to me that many people never think about foundational questions of life except when they face a crisis. The reality is that we never know what tomorrow holds; even if we possessed all the riches of the world they could not provide complete security.
But we, as God’s children through the life, death, and resurrection of his son Jesus, have assurance that we will be with Him
